Â
the singapore library i must be an idiot to updat now, but since i seem to get every maths answer wrong, i might as well get away from it. So now my blog is getting updated bout once every month which is not bad actually. Shld be updating more soon, since i actually have time and things to say. So before i continue, this entry is not meant to condemn anyone or anywhere whatsoever and is just my personal opinion. Today, to think i got chased out of the public library...not for doing anything really illegal...but for studying. And that just goes to show how supportive the librarys really are of studying. When i read the news about no studying in most librarys ages ago, it really didnt seem to bother me much, actually i think it did. But the point is that as far as pasir ris goes, the library is the best place for studying i can think of. The comfortable chairs, air-con etc. Although the lights do seem a little dim and loads of students just seem to enjoy hanging around the library playing so much. But i mean, why really is there a need to prevent people from studying in the library, coz it's too small and a person not reading a book is deemed unfit to occupy a seat? Really, like why? If they can tolerate students sitting in groups on the floor and talking ( not really loudly i agree), then why cant they allow people to study? Aren't librarys suppose to be one of the best places to study in. It appears that time has changed and so have library norms. STUDYING IS NOT ALLOW! unless in certain bigger librarys in the evening (when we would go home)! So, i went down to macs, where fortunately nobody chased me out. Appears that now macs or other fast food restaurants have become the new place to study. The entire second floor was almost filled with student studying and no manager or whoever told us to go away. It was pretty good actually. If only the other people around me would quieten down to, it would be perfect. Special thanks to the mcdonalds people for letting us study there. I hope they would continue to do so...and umm...wish them prosperity in return. So, if mcdonalds which is a business where the seats are really important allow people to study for long hours, why cant the library? It's not that without the seats their business would be worse right. As a matter of fact, it might improve coz more people would borrow books home to read. It works both ways. Whatever it is, i guess the library has their reasons, though i really dont see any and hopefully they can like change that no studying rule now coz it really bad for students.
